A E G I S. This design is based on the mutualism relationship between the impala and the oxpecker. The thought process behind this design is one of provision. The oxpeckers are blinded, unable to fend for themselves. This represents youth, or naivety. The impala provides safety and sustenance, whilst benefiting from the oxpeckers’ presence. The branches represent the impala’s wisdom, and the aged spherical blade in the background represents the fierceness of protection; the solidarity of the relationship.
This tattoo would go great on a back/front, thigh, or side. Ideally tattooed in blackwork, but color is an option.
